Powerful, easy-starting clearing saw for professionals who demand high performance and reliability. Here in a package that we have also equipped with a grass kit consisting of an extra angle gear with angle adapted for grass clearing, trimmer head, an extra saw blade, and a filing kit for the clearing blade.

460 C-EM K is equipped with the X-TREEm harness and the highly efficient HP saw blade. With M-Tronic as standard, you get maximum power in all situations, low impact on health and the environment, low fuel consumption, and always easy starting. Effective anti-vibration and easy handle adjustment provide good ergonomics during long work shifts.

Professional clearing saw

This machine has an optimized angle on the bevel gear (25°), making it especially suitable for felling and forest clearing, while significantly improving work comfort. 

Single-lever control

All engine operating modes are grouped in the same handle. Work becomes simple and comfortable while increasing safety.

Start control (M-Tronic)

With M-Tronic you don't have to consider whether the machine is cold or warm at start, there is only one start position on the control. Exactly the right amount of fuel is pumped automatically. Just start, go full throttle, and operate.

Spring-loaded start/stop button

With the spring-loaded start/stop button, the machine always automatically returns to the start position and is always ready to start. 

X-TREEm carrying system

Harness specially developed for long work shifts in the forest with a saw blade or grass clearing. Very good ergonomics and carrying comfort with a longitudinally adjustable back part and stepless load distribution between hip and shoulder.

Interlock system

Since the locking pin can be locked in position and does not have to be held, it is very easy to change cutting tools.

Compensator

STIHL compensator, a control system in the carburetor, ensures that the fuel-air mixture is always optimal regardless of how dirty the filter is. The compensator provides optimal power with low emissions. Only when 80% of the filter surface is clogged is it time to clean the filter. 

Air filter with long service life

Easily accessible pleated paper filter with a large total filter surface provides very long cleaning intervals. Conveniently placed so downtime is kept to a minimum.

Primer

With the manual fuel pump, petrol is pumped into the carburetor with a few simple thumb presses. You no longer need to pull the starter cord to get petrol into the carburetor. There is no risk of overfilling as all excess petrol drains back into the tank.

2-MIX engine

Stihl's two-stroke engine with 2-MIX technology provides high power, good pulling ability, and saves up to 20% fuel compared to equivalent STIHL two-stroke engines without 2-MIX technology. Harmful substance emissions are also greatly reduced by up to 70% and the engine easily meets EU II requirements.

4-point anti-vibration system

In the new generation of STIHL clearing saws, there are built-in steel springs as anti-vibration elements. These steel springs absorb and reduce the oscillations arising in the engine and the rotating cutting tool. The handles become almost vibration-free.

Easy2Start (E)

A spiral spring between the rope wheel and the crankshaft stores energy and compensates for force peaks from the starter pull. Result: you only need half as much force to start the machine and the speed of the actual pull can be reduced by as much as two-thirds.

M-Tronic

Fully electronic ignition timing control and fuel metering. The STIHL M-Tronic (M) engine control system always provides optimal engine power, consistently high speed, and excellent acceleration. The system also has a memory function, which further improves driving characteristics. Manual carburetor adjustment is a thing of the past.

Large fuel tank

The transparent fuel tank holds as much as 0.75 l (FS 240 - 460) or 0.99 l (FS 490/560), allowing for long work sessions without disruptive refueling stops. The fuel level is easy to check since the tank is transparent, which also eliminates unnecessary stops. 

Handlebar

A handlebar facilitates work and improves ergonomics and is the natural first choice when working over larger areas. With a handlebar you can work calmly and methodically in large sweeping motions from side to side. The handlebar can also be adjusted as needed.

Tool-free handlebar adjustment

The handlebar is individually adjustable via a single knob, completely without tools. It can also be folded completely against the shaft in so-called transport position.

Winter mode

A very simple system where the machine can be quickly switched from summer to winter mode. During the cold season, this prevents icing of the carburetor and air filter.
